after many hours of watching training videos and after many coffee breaks i have finaly started to get my star destroyer model to look like one of them. knowing the fact that there is still long way to go im already proud of my self that i have succeded this far.

Hours spended on this = 60 hours (includeds the the time spended on looking training videos and failures)

This is probably going to finish at next year

at the moment google sketchup 7 cos it was free maybe at somepoint i find better program

I don't know, perhaps the technique of modelling simply needs to be changed, not the 3d program itself.

I would start with the overal shape first of the ship and then move to the details...

Check my gallery for my enterprise building to get an idea of what I mean.

i see i see..... well my first idea was to make the skeletal look from the ship first.....

and i have to say your models are really impressive the looks so real that i could believe that they have come straight from the movie
